Welcome to SKEALS
The Spurn, Kilnsea and Easington Area Local Studies Group

The Spurn, Kilnsea and Easington Area Local Studies Group (SKEALS) was formed in the summer of 2006. At present it consists of a steering group of 12 people. The Group’s aims are:

• To bring together people interested in local history, and support them in sharing their knowledge and ideas.
• To encourage research and the collection and recording of information about the area.
• To disseminate information via events, publications, a web site, and any other means of communication.

We intend to develop this web site further, and include additional material regularly. We also intend to embark upon new research, to encourage the collection of both historical and contemporary information, and to help anyone interested in finding out more about the history of Easington, Kilnsea, Spurn Point and Out Newton.
