April 30th 2009 - Please read the article on Brown Tails by clicking on the following link. Once again the caterpillars of the Brown Tail moth are very much in evidence on the Spurn Peninsula. The hairs from the caterpillars can cause severe skin irritation. Although this article was written in 2007 it is still relevant in 2009.

March 30th 2009 - In 2005 at the time of the demolition of the old Easington Village Hall, Jan Crowther and Diane Horncastle published a booklet telling the history of the hall and containing pictures taken through its almost 70 years history..

Following some sterling work by SKEALS' member, Mike Welton, we are now able to show our 'EASINGTON CHURCHYARD GRAVESTONE PROJECT'. It is our aim to photograph every gravestone in the churchyard of All Saints' church and display them on the page with details of the inscriptions and any other relevant material such as photographs, Parish Record entries and census entries.
