The first Photo Gallery for 2011 contains the
13 photographs from the SKEALS Photographic Competition which were used in
the calendar produced by the gas companies based ta Easington. Some of the
photographs had to be cropped to produce the calendar so those on the
Gallery are the original entries in the Photographic
Competition.

Please have a look at the new format for the
Photo Gallery. The new layout allows you to view all twelve photographs as
thumbnails. Clicking on one of the small pictures will automatically show
a larger view of that photograph. There are then further options to go
either backwards or forwards through the large images. Each month will see
further collections added to the site but the existing thumbnails will
remain, enabling you to look back through previous months.

After a very long wait, for which I apologise
as it was entirely my fault, the final entries in Mike Welton's Gravestone
Project are now on the web site. In all, 247 persons are mentioned by name
as being buried in the churchyard of All Saints' Church,
Easington.

on the following link. Once again the caterpillars of the Brown Tail moth
are very much in evidence on the Spurn Peninsula. The hairs from the
caterpillars can cause severe skin irritation. Although this article was
