October 31st 2009 - The Photo Gallery for November contains twelve new photographs taken by Kev, Mel and Hannah Hewitt of Easington.

October 12th 2009 - A short article by Jan Crowther about the pendant donated to the Easington and Skeffling Women's Institute by Captain
J.W.Duncan of 'Golden Hope', Skeffling has been added to our 'Articles Page'.

October 6th 2009 - A further 12 gravestones have been added to the Gravestone Project. The gravestones so far
recorded cover more than 200 burials.

June 26th 2009 - Following a most excellent talk given to the SKEALS group by military historian Alan Williamson we have included an article
written in 2007 by SKEALS' member Mike Welton following the discovery of what may be an observation post used by the Skeffling branch of the
Secret Army.

April 30th 2009 - Please read the article on Brown Tails by clicking on the following link. Once again the caterpillars of the Brown Tail moth
are very much in evidence on the Spurn Peninsula. The hairs from the caterpillars can cause severe skin irritation. Although this article was written in 2007 it is still relevant in 2009.

March 30th 2009 - In 2005 at the time of the demolition of the old Easington Village Hall, Jan Crowther and Diane Horncastle published a booklet
telling the history of the hall and containing pictures taken through its almost 70 years history..

March 28th 2009 - Another 12 gravestones marking the graves of 28 people have been added to the Easington Churchyard Gravestones Project.

Following some sterling work by SKEALS' member, Mike Welton, we are now able to show our 'EASINGTON CHURCHYARD GRAVESTONE PROJECT'. It is our aim to photograph every gravestone in the churchyard of All Saints' church and display them on the page with details of the inscriptions and any other relevant material such as photographs, Parish Record entries and census entries.
