Inscription reads: In affectionate remembrance of Mercy Agnes the beloved daughter of John and Elizabeth Clubley who died August 20th 1874 aged 10 years. Just like a rose that’s newly blown. My youthful days are quickly flown: Weep not dear friends, I cannot miss, The mansion of eternal bliss. ( Waller,Hull)
